Monday’s Prompt – The Ice Cream Van
A familiar jingle echoes down the street, but no one else seems to hear it.
When your character follows the sound, they find an old-fashioned ice cream truck parked by a vacant lot—and the vendor offers them a flavor from a forgotten memory.
Tuesday’s Prompt – The Window Seat
Your character boards a train for a short summer trip.
As they sit by the window, the landscape outside doesn’t match the geography of any known place.
But no one else on board seems surprised.
Wednesday’s Prompt – Return to Sender
A postcard arrives from a place your character hasn’t visited in years—one that no longer exists.
The message is in their own handwriting, and it’s dated tomorrow.
Thursday’s Prompt – Firefly Season
Every year on this date, the fireflies appear in strange, swirling patterns.
This year, your character realizes the lights are spelling something out—and it’s meant for them.
Friday’s Prompt – The Forgotten Room
While house-sitting for a friend, your character opens a closet door and finds a staircase leading to a room that isn’t on the floor plan.
It’s quiet, warm, and filled with someone else’s memories.
Saturday’s Prompt – Borrowed Skates
At a weekend flea market, your character buys a pair of vintage roller skates.
When they try them on, they don’t just move fast—they seem to glide toward people who need help.
Sunday’s Prompt – The Tides Remember
Each morning, something different washes up on the shore—an old toy, a sealed bottle, a photograph, a wedding ring.
Your character starts to piece together the story these items are telling.
