New Creative Writing Contest

creative writing contest

On Monday (July 22nd) we’re starting a 5-Day Short-Short Creative Writing Contest on our private Facebook group page, and I hope you’ll enter the contest every day, or at least one day, next week.

Each weekday next week, I’ll have a new writing prompt, and to enter the contest, simply respond to that prompt in a comment.

Each prompt will require just a 200-to-500-word response, which is why I’m calling it a Short-Short Creative Writing Contest.

Winners will be determined by YOU, the members of the group.

Like, love, and leave a comment about your favorite responses.

Winners will be determined by those responses that have the most reactions and comments.

Winners names will be posted at writebythesea.com, along with the winning stories.

Each participant will also receive a Golden PJ’s Award (which you may remember from previous challenges and contests sponsored by writebythesea). It’s a digital award you can place on your site.

Note: If you’re wondering why a Golden PJ’s Award, it’s because as writers, we’re free to work in our pjs all day, if we like.

Contest ends Friday evening, July 26, and all likes, loves, and comments about responses must be made by Saturday, July 27, so winners can be announced next Sunday.
