A big THANK YOU to everyone who turned out for the launch party for Snapshots from Real Life: Personal Stories to Warm the Heart and Tickle the Funny Bone yesterday in Stuart, Florida, at Davinci’s Palette.

I know I had a great time and it was so nice to see everyone and I am so thankful for everyone’s support.

DaVinci’s Palette, is such a cozy little studio and it made the perfect spot for the launch party.

Here are a few photos before everyone arrived.

All set for the guests to arrive.
Some of the food – and some of my books lined up for people to see.

Here was the table with the poster of the book and the cake. Notice the cute little frame on the cake with a picture of the book cover.

During the party, I read one of my stories from the book.

Here I am getting everyone’s attention so I could start my short presentation and tell people about the book and about my upcoming workshop I’ll be offering at DaVinci’s Palette in January.

It almost felt like being in the classroom again!
I also talked about my first book – Kidding Around Kansas City – that was released 20 years ago!

After the reading, there were some fun prizes to give away, so we had several drawings.

Then everyone enjoyed more refreshments, including the cake:

And finally, we sold copies of the book and I signed them.

My husband, Adrian, was in charge of the book sales.

And, of course, everyone was sent home with a bag of seashells from WritebytheSea.

So now…it’s time to write more books and to get ready for my new workshop at DaVinci’s Palette in January called Write Your Stories.

I can hardly wait!

All the best,

snapshots from real life

P.S. If you’d like to have your stories be included in our next Snapshots book, register for my Fearless Freelance Writing workshop that will take place online in January, or, if you live here on the Treasure Coast, register for Write Your Stories!
