  1. Jane loved to find seaglass on the beach, but this seaglass looked as if it had been placed there just so she would discover it, and it spooked her.

 

2. There they were—in each other’s arms, behind a rock where they thought no one would see them—Margot’s fiancé and her best friend.

3. “We just need to make it to that lighthouse,” she said.

4. Keely sat in a chair on the beach, reading a magazine, pretending to ignore the handsome young man who was staring at her.5. Layla couldn’t believe her good luck as she studied the beach house that would be hers for the entire summer.

6. “Take the tram down to the beach,” the woman told her, “and the man you are supposed to meet will be there waiting for you.”

7. Jason said he would meet Ava on the beach, but he wasn’t there.
