Plus, it gets you into a regular writing habit!
1. It was a day like any other day. Only, it wasn’t.
2. No one had ever given Eleanor a gift quite like this one before. She had no idea what she would do with it.
3. Reggie sat down on the park bench next to a cat that was preening itself.
After a few minutes, the cat looked up at Reggie.
“Hello,” said the cat.
Reggie nearly fell off the park bench.
4. Time travel isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, thought Thomas at he stared at the scene before him.
5. “Welcome to the 4th dimension,” said a man seated at a computer. “I’m Rio, and I’ll be your guide today, since I presume this is your first time here.”
6. It was just an ordinary looking key. Yet somehow I knew it would unlock my future.
7. Jason took one look at the snowy slopes and gulped. Why did I ever tell Marla that I can ski? he wondered.
8. It started out as one teeny, tiny white lie.
9. I should have trusted my instincts and never gone back to the house that morning.
10. I thought I knew what “happily ever after” meant. Turns out, I didn’t have a clue.
