goal tracking resource

In this week’s posts, I’ve talked about the importance of creating 3 goal categories for your writing business:

1. Income Goals
2. Audience Goals
3. Product Goals

And once you create goals in each of these categories, it’s important to track your progress towards each of these goals.

Tracking Your Audience Growth

Keeping track of your audience growth is important so you can easily identify what is working and what isn’t in your marketing efforts.

You should have a traffic counter of some sort on your site (I prefer statcounter), so you know how much traffic your site is receiving, where that traffic is coming from, and what pages or posts are receiving the most traffic at your site.

You will also want to use this spreadsheet template to track your audience growth over time comparing it to your monthly and yearly goals based on all the different platforms including social media, website traffic and your email list.

Find what’s really working and what isn’t to grow your audience.

Tracking Your Product Launches and Promotions

It can be difficult to keep track of all of your products and how they are performing in your business.

That’s why I’ve created this template to make it easy for you to track the income, expenses and profits for each one of your products.

No more guessing which product is actually your most profitable, you’ll have it all documented in this spreadsheet for easy reporting.

Even if you haven’t created any new products or done much yet to grow your audience, you’ll want to download today’s free resources and put them in a folder on your desktop, so they’ll be handy when you do need them.
